Opting for a UK-based staycation is already a much greener and eco-friendly choice than jumping on a plane and jetting off abroad. However, there are always ways to go greener by protecting the natural environment, conserving resources, and having a positive impact on the local community.

Our Top 5 Tips for an Eco-Friendly UK Staycation
1) Stay Offline
To ensure for a truly refreshing and restorative staycation, we highly recommend avoiding using your phone or laptop, even if just for a few hours. Staying offline saves energy and data, whilst also being good for your mental health and relationships.
2) Walk or Cycle
One of the best ways to explore the local area during your staycation is by walking or hiring a bike. Both are truly enjoyable activities, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the natural environment; as well as being much better for the planet, of course!
3) Visit Eco-Friendly Attractions
Wherever you choose to visit in the UK, we guarantee you’ll be spoilt for choice when it comes to eco-friendly attractions. Discover nature or embark on a fun outdoor adventure in an eco-friendly way and leave feeling more fulfilled than ever before.
4) Enjoy Eco-Friendly Food & Drink
Whether you’re looking to dine out or stock up on supplies for self-catering, there’s no shortage of places that dish out sustainable food and produce. Order from a seasonal menu with ethically sourced meat or drop into a café and purchase some local free-range eggs.
5) Be a Responsible Guest
It’s not only your accommodation that should be eco-friendly; as a guest, you need to play your part too. Conserve water wherever you can, limit your energy usage and always reduce, reuse, and recycle. That way, everyone’s a winner!
